Havasu Falls is one of the most stunning natural wonders on Earth, located within the secluded Havasupai Indian Reservation in a side canyon of the Grand Canyon, Arizona. Plummeting approximately 100 feet (30 meters) over vivid red travertine cliffs into travertine-rimmed pools of brilliant turquoise water, Havasu Falls looks like a paradise plucked straight out of a dream.The spectacular blue-green hue of the water is caused by high concentrations of dissolved calcium carbonate and magnesium in Havasu Creek. The constant precipitation of travertine creates ever-changing natural terraces, dams, and deep swimming basins below the fall.The surrounding area is home to several other incredible waterfalls along Havasu Creek, including Fifty Foot Falls, Navajo Falls, Mooney Falls (the tallest at 200 feet), and Beaver Falls.
