Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple

The Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple is a historic Hindu shrine located in the town of Guruvayur, Kerala. Often referred to as Bhooloka Vaikunta (the earthly abode of Lord Vishnu), this temple is dedicated to Lord Guruvayurappan, a four-armed depiction of Lord Vishnu as he appeared at the birth of Lord Krishna.The sanctum sanctorum houses a unique idol crafted out of Patala Anjananam (a rare stone with magnetic and medicinal properties).
