About Candolim Beach
Candolim Beach begins at Fort Aguada and merges with Calangute Beach towards the north. It is known for being less crowded and more peaceful than its bustling neighbors. The beach boasts a clean stretch of soft sand backed by scrub-covered dunes. It's an excellent destination for families, offering a wide array of thrilling water sports including parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boat rides.
History
Candolim was the focal point of the Pinto Revolt of 1787, an uprising against Portuguese rule. It is also the birthplace of Abbe Faria, a famous Goan hypnotist.
