About Vagator Beach
Vagator Beach is one of North Goa's most picturesque coastal spots, characterized by its striking red laterite cliffs that look down onto a beautiful crescent of golden sand. Split into two main sections—Big Vagator and Little Vagator (Ozran)—this beach offers a slightly more laid-back alternative to Anjuna, while still boasting excellent beach shacks, lively sunset spots, and a vibrant nightlife scene.
History
Overlooking Vagator Beach is the famous Chapora Fort, originally built by the Portuguese in 1617. The fort and the beach gained massive popularity after being featured in the Bollywood blockbuster Dil Chahta Hai.
