History
The story of Kairali Ayurvedic Health Village is rooted in a centuries-old lineage of traditional Ayurvedic physicians. Founded by Mr. K.V. Ramesh and Mrs. Gita Ramesh, the retreat was established to preserve, modernize, and promote authentic Ayurvedic medicine globally while maintaining strict adherence to ancient Vedic scriptures such as the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita.
The Ramesh family’s ancestors were pioneers in manufacturing Ayurvedic medicines and administering traditional remedies in Kerala. In the late 20th century, recognizing that true healing requires an environment free from modern pollution and noise, they established this dedicated health village in the scenic rural landscape of Palakkad.
Since its inception, Kairali has grown into a globally recognized benchmark for wellness tourism.
