Designed around the concept of 'minimalist luxury,' the resort features sleek, open-air glass chalets that hover gracefully over the hillside, maximizing views of the Knuckles Mountain Range while minimizing physical impact on the environment. There are no televisions in the rooms, encouraging guests to engage in a digital detox and re-establish a connection with nature.

History
Santani was founded in 2016 as Sri Lanka's first purpose-built luxury wellness resort. Built on a former tea estate that had been left to rewild, the vision was to create an eco-conscious sanctuary that respects the natural topography and biodiversity of the Central Highlands.
The resort was designed by renowned Sri Lankan architect Ergonomically, utilizing reclaimed rubber wood and local stone. The elevated architecture allows natural ventilation, significantly reducing the need for artificial air conditioning and electricity, exemplifying sustainable architecture in Asia.
