Chiva-Som was founded in 1995 by Boonchu Rojanastien, a former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand. Driven by a personal passion for health and long life, he transformed his private beachfront vacation home in Hua Hin into a dedicated health sanctuary.
Over the decades, Chiva-Som revolutionized the concept of wellness tourism, pioneering the integration of spa treatments, physical fitness, nutrition, and holistic medicine under one roof. The resort underwent a comprehensive multi-phase renovation completed in 2019, modernizing its pavilions, suites, and wellness facilities while keeping its traditional Thai design ethos intact.
